The Bau Chow – Proper Dog Food is a firm that specializes in curating nutritious and healthy daily diets for dogs. We also curate age-specific and health-specific diets for dogs with issues such as Kidney and/or Liver Failure, Obesity, Skin Allergies, Cancer etc., says Tarun.
We at Bangalore Insider had an opportunity to have an interview with Tarun. Here are the excerpts.
Well, the Bau Chow – Proper Dog Food is a firm that specializes in curating nutritious and healthy daily diets for dogs. We also curate age-specific and health-specific diets for dogs with issues such as Kidney and/or Liver Failure, Obesity, Skin Allergies, Cancer etc.
The motivation behind this idea to take off was the fact that many individuals don’t give their pet’s diet as much importance, they feed them products that come from an unregulated market with little or no nutrition, these processed food manufacturers have definitely made the feeding of the man’s best friend very convenient, However, they have conveniently forgotten to make the food Nutritious, also the food adds 0 value to a companion animals life.
Sure, I am raised in Madras and lived there before moving to Bangalore 5 years back. Before The Bau Chow – Proper Dog Foods inception, I worked as a PR & Brand Manager for a Bombay based PR firm managing their clients and adding new ones from the Bangalore Market. Having said that I am also a professional self-taught Artist (Painter).
The Bau Chow – Proper Dog Food is based out of Bangalore.
We started here as the market is diverse and the value of animal life is spectacular
Nothing as such, I don’t mind being the Turtle in this Rabbit race. Slow and steady is the way to go in the space that I am in, as it’s very new and there is a new thing to learn on a daily basis.
People in my line of business in this city cannot be competitors, as we are all working for one cause that’s the betterment of the life of an individual/ailing pet or any dog for that matter.
I would like to think of them as collaborator s and an acquaintance’s who sometimes might work together if need be.
Having a work-life balance was initially hard, now it’s much better. I usually wind up by 9 pm and start my day at 7 am.
No, My firm is a Boot Strapped firm, and we have not raised any funding so far.
To answer your other question, Yes we would of course love to get funded
I am not sure
Additionally, this seems Irrelevant To the subject of the article
Oh so many things, but seeing an animals life improve because of diets curated by me is a most satisfying experience. The level of trust people put in me and allow me to be of service to them and their pets is the biggest motivation that keep me pushed to better the company with every day that passes
Well, a day in my life is the most boring day ever.. haha. My day starts at 7 am. My dogs and I go for 45-60 mins run. We three are done with our breakfast by 9:30 am & then by 10 am work has started, that goes on till about 8 pm.
My dogs eat by 6:30 pm and I am done with dinner by 10:30 pm. One last night walk with my dogs, read a book and I am off to bed by 12 pm 🙂
