Dr. Anuj Choudhary – a fitness freak and a founder of Animal Booster Nutrition and Anihac Pharma

It is a good time to be a part of India’s health and wellness industry, if you aren’t a part of it already, having already placed yourself to take advantage of India’s demographic dividend. 

Two-thirds of India is below thirty-five. Of course, it makes sense to see ‘where’ the maximum and minimum concentration of this cohort is, but it’s quite safe to say that a lot of them will be in urban (urban being the current top 10 cities of India by population. By 2030 we may probably have a top 20 who would account for a bulk of India’s population) areas by 2030. At least the ones with the propensity to spend on health and wellness, that is.

Buoyed by headwinds in their favour, from an increased awareness of preventive healthcare to the emergence of concepts like holistic wellness and mental well-being, health and wellness professionals are setting up fitness studios, manufacturing supplements, beginning healthy and fresh food verticals and exhorting people to sweat rather than be sorry later. In short, people are being told not to slip into the category of primary or secondary care by beginning their preventive journeys as soon as possible. 

Dr. Anuj Choudhary has a similar vision.

Today, at Bangalore Insider, we spoke to Anuj who told us about his organic supplements brand, his passion for bodybuilding and what he envisions for people and their health.  

 

 

Tell us about yourself, what do you like most about your field of work?

I have been a fitness freak since my teenage years and gyming and bodybuilding has always been my passion. I pursued science in the field of Diet and Nutrition during my graduation and post graduation I got my PhD in sports science. Currently, I am running a business by the name of “Animal Booster Nutrition & Gym supplements” in India as well as internationally and what I like about this business the most is that these supplements help people to attain a body according to their requirements. If someone wishes for a lean body they can use supplements accordingly and if someone looks for a heavy body they can choose the required supplements. 

 

 

Your previous jobs/ ventures? What were you doing before choosing this field?

I never had a mindset of doing a job. Bodybuilding and gyming was always my passion. I always had in mind to do something related to this field. So I began my business of manufacturing and distributing organic supplements and started my own company named as Animal Booster Nutrition and Anihac Pharma (to be launched soon).

 

How did you land up doing what you do now?

I wanted to represent my country in bodybuilding but destiny certainly had planned something else for me. I met with an accident which had some major effects on my body and restricted my body building. So I had no choice but to enter the business world. 

If not the current profession, what would you have been?

If not manufacturing, I would have been an international body builder and would have represented my country on international platforms in the fields of wrestling and bodybuilding. 

 

 

What motivates you to keep going?

The thing that motivates me to keep doing this business is the response that I have got for my products existing in the market. People have used my products and given a positive review that they have helped them attained a body of their choice and represented our country at International bodybuilding championships. Second reason which motivates me is that it is a process of self satisfaction to give others a support to fulfill their dreams and get a body of their choice. 

 

 

Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.

I believe in starting my day in a healthy way, as soon as I wake up I do Yoga in the fresh air. Then I go to work and try to follow a healthy diet plan during my day and then in the evening either I prefer to go on a walk or follow my routine of gym. 

 

 

Any regrets till now? If yes, will you like to share it with our readers?

I don’t have any regrets as I am happy with what I am doing right now.

 

 

If you were given a choice of meeting any person you want, who would be that person?

I would like to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was an international level bodybuilder who has always inspired me to be successful businessmen and have a fit body. 

 

 

What is the biggest misconception that you think people have about you?

I don’t think there is any misconception about me in the market as such. I have a very clean and focused image with an aim of growing my products’ presence in India and Internationally.

 

 

Any message that you want to send to your readers?

I would just like to tell my readers that it’s not necessary that you always achieve and become what you want to sometimes destiny has something else in store for you. We should have trust in ourselves and our destiny and it will take care of us and help us reach heights. Our hard work and dedication will surely pay us back.
