INSCUBE is a startup founded by Aravinth, Gowrishankar and Megabarathi. They are are living in three different countries but working towards one mission to create the world’s first “Alternate Social Media”.

 

Something which was an integral part of our life earlier, something that lead us to a meaningful social life and something from which the real social life started? COMMUNITIES! Communities that are exclusive, created by like-minded people to share ideas, knowledge, initiate healthy conversations and eventually leading us to a meaningful social life! INSCUBE addresses the need of the hour which is an exclusive ALTERNATE MEDIA coupled with the need for a meaningful social life.

 

Give a brief info about your startup?

INSCUBE is the world’s first ALTERNATE MEDIA where anyone can create their own social media., for their college/institution, company, event, community and many more. INSCUBE is a community-based platform+app which connects people with their communities.

What made you start your startup and what problem does it solve?

The need of the hour – THE ALTERNATE MEDIA!

There are more than 3 billion people in social media right now. Social life is just restricted to posting or sharing pics, videos or articles. Did we forget that we have lost something in this transition?

Tell us about yourself, your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before this startup?

INSCUBE is my 4th venture. I started my first venture at the age of 18 (online tutoring) when I was at my college. After my bachelors, I did my Masters from Germany where I kick-started my second venture called INK-International Network of Knowledge which was an initiative towards the vision of Global Knowledge Sharing. Then, I did a management course at Harvard Business School. Last year (2017), I co-founded B2C Network, a professional networking platform for Blockchain and Crypto enthusiasts) and INSCUBE, the alternate media).

 

Where is your startup based out of? Why do you think that is the best place for you?

I personally think our startup should actually not have a particular base. We are creating something to connect people with communities all around the world. In fact, all the 3 co-founders of INSCUBE are not living in the same country. I am living in Germany. The other co-founders, Gowrishankar and Megabarathi are in the US and India respectively.

 

 

As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?

‘To create something which is meaningful, accessible and adds value to the life of every single person in this world’. I am working towards this goal and I think it is not easy without commitment, perseverance and self-motivation. This goal pushes me every day to work even harder than the previous day!

INSCUBE is bootstrapped until now, but we believe that now we are ready to scale the platform. Hence, we are currently looking for funding in EU, US and in India simultaneously

 

What gets you excited about this company?

Creating the world’s first ALTERNATE MEDIA! This one single goal-mission-idea makes me excited about the startup!

 

 

Tell us about your team and how did you meet each other?

We are 3 in the co-founding team and we have a tech base in India. All of us are from the same institution – Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, where we did our Bachelor studies. We have worked together on many projects when we were at the college, which eventually lead us to know our strengths. Then all 3 of us ventured into different things like Masters, educational startups and working in tech companies in Germany and in the US. In 2017, we teamed up again to start INSCUBE which we strongly believe that it will disrupt the social media space!
