Give a brief info about your startup.
LaYuva is a joint effort of Mr. Haifeng Yang and me to relief the retailers and part-time workers struggling in the market to begin their e-commerce business venture. Through LaYuva, we provide both the merchants or retailers and the customers a one-to-one interface to come together for settling on a mutually beneficial deal.

Moreover, the merchants can set up their own virtual shop at LaYuva with a simple procedure with zero investment and risks involved. And, the customers can leverage the best of exclusive offers on a wide range of products in fashions, clothing, lifestyle products, accessories, electronics, daily necessities, home decors, and parental products, etc.
What made you start your startup and what problem does it solve?
My versatile experience in Digital, Internet and ecommerce industry encouraged me to launch Layuva. LaYuva solves the major problem of multilevel marketing. At LaYuva, we neutralize the multilevel marketing by importing products directly from the manufacturers which is very cost effective and benefiting our sellers and consumers. By shrinking the supply chain, we are making business easy and more profitable for everyone by offering High-Quality products in Low Price with Quick Delivery.
Tell us about yourself, your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before this startup?
I started my career in 2007 with as a software engineer and then moved on to work as a Marketing professional in Real Network (Korean Company). I had worked with Telecom VAS Companies before I joined UC Web as Associate Director Business, Alibaba Group as Associate Director Commercial Product and then worked at Baidu as Sr. Director Strategic Alliance Before starting LaYuva. The work experience and management skills gained through all these years immensely helped me start my own venture.
Where is your startup based out of? Why do you think that is the best place for you?
LaYuva is located at Spaze I-Tech Park, Sector -49, Sohna Road Gurgaon. It’s a strategic place to get in touch with all the leading brands whose corporate offices are situated in the nearby areas.
As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?
No room for paranoid thoughts as I am blessed with a team which is hardworking as well as optimistic. Secondly, I stay focused on my startup business like how to enhance the business model and what strategies can help the retailers and customers associated with us get a better experience with us. As a matter of fact, instead of getting fussy about challenges, I’m concerned about the individual growth of LaYuva team. Their training, learning, and growth are of my prime importance.
Who are your competitions and how are you better than them?
We are creating a new market by introducing new model in ecommerce industry in India by supporting end-to-end consumers. Hence, we do not see other players as our competitors in the market. Our new model will support Sellers to get better margins and Manufacturers to get ample product demand and consumer to get products in less price with high quality in the Indian market.
How hard is it to have a work-life balance as a startup founder and how do you manage it?
Managing the work and personal life is really an issue. At times, when I’m overburdened with loads of work, I wish the days to be longer so that I can complete the pending work and spend a good time with my family. But then, this is not possible. So I just plan out the tasks I need to complete every other day and then accordingly manage each of them. This keeps me sorted out and productive throughout the day. At the end of the day, I finally sit with my family and listen to their chattering. And trust me; family time is a great stress buster.
Have you raised funding? If yes, then we would like to know the details. If no then please tell us if you are looking to raise.
We have invested our own money initially and then we are in talks with some investor groups and we are at final stage of getting investment. Once the process will be completed, we will happy to disclose it with everyone.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about you? Why do they have that? What’s the reality?
The biggest misconception is that people compare us with Jabong and Myntra and think we are also a fashion brand but we are a platform having a wide range of products with multiple categories and people can buy any kind of products which is available for any target audience of any age group even in Bulk.
What gets you excited about this company?
LaYuva is the true realization of my dream and it might motivate others to be entrepreneurs to chase theirs. I am excited about the bunch of young and passionate team of LaYuva which is working together to achieve a big dream by dealing with everyday challenges passionately which is ultimately making us stronger.
Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.
I usually wake up at 5:30 in the morning and go out for a walk. After having healthy breakfast, I prepare a to-do list in which I schedule work, meetings with clients, and one-to-one sessions with my team members. Then I go to the office and begin working as per the schedule. This saves a lot of my time and I complete the errands conveniently. After office, I dedicate my two hours for sports activities. I prefer playing hockey which works as a stress buster for me. It recharges me and refreshes my mind. I go back home, take shower, rest a little, and spend time with my family. Now I am re-energized again to again work for few hours checking reports and analysis of the day. And then, the day ends with a good sleep. That’s all.
Tell us about your team and how did you meet each other?
I met with my business partner Mr. Haifeng Yang, who is the Co-Founder of LaYuva, six years back. We both were working with Alibaba group. We spent few years there and moved to Baidu. It was the time when we thought that we both had good understanding of market and we should now start our own venture. Hence, we took decision to launch LaYuva. Today, we have a huge network of the wholesalers and retailers and have a strong team as the backbone of LaYuva.
