The 21st century has seen significant advancements made towards the fields of science and technology. People nowadays understand the field of science and how things work in the universe all through logical and ethical reasoning. However, with ancient practices, things are still bleak for many where the difference between ancient beliefs and modern reasoning clash.
Only if there was a way of teaching the ancient practices to modern people in a understanding manner? Well, Nivaa Sciences does exactly that where they bridge the gap between ancient practices and modern thinking by providing logical reasoning behind every ancient practice. Bangalore insider had the chance to have a brief conversation with Manas, the founder of Nivaa Sciences, to learn more about the company. A brief conversation has been provided below.
At Nivaa Sciences we aim at dispensing ancient esoteric practices in a scientific and logical way. Our programs are designed towards conscious living and helps one overcome life problems and live a knowledgeable and stress free life.
I always had a questioning mind, as a child I would get in trouble because I questioned on why things had to be done in a specific way. This became more of a problem when I started disputing spiritual principles and how one approached age old mystical practices. This led me to explore and understand the inner and most basic meaning behind ancient practices. I ended up studying under various experts, questioning them constantly and refining the core knowledge and approach behind every spiritual method.
In today’s world, everything is defined by social media and SEO’s. This means that knowledge comes to us packaged in several layers of marketing jargons. Pure knowledge somehow gets lost here and most people end up with half-baked information. The inspiration behind establishing Nivaa Sciences was to help youngsters not get lost in the din, to provide them with just the essential information on any spiritual or ancient science. Today, we have a generation that understands meta physics like no one else, by providing just the required steps behind any kind ancient science they would be able to emerge as ‘Scientific Spiritualists’.
Thanks to an inquisitive mind I have dabbled in various things. I have been a blogger, hiker and have also created a few short movies. I am also a certified therapist and I help people overcome physical, mental and spiritual problems.
Professionally I have worked in the IT industry as a Business Analyst. I visited several countries on various assignments and this helped me understand various cultures and explore their belief systems and spiritual methodologies.
Currently the internet is our home ☺. Since we are a young company and due to the pandemic we are totally based online. This has worked out well for us because it helps us dispense knowledge and provide therapy without any barriers.
Conscious living is something that needs to be led by example. To help develop and inculcate this factor I am also part of ‘Sthalaa’, a organic farm in Agumbe. At ‘Sthalaa’ we have been providing a slice of rural life along with focus on developing ancient seed varieties and natural farming techniques. Sthalaa’s organic products and stay options have been well received and we are being approached by people from international markets.
As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?
I always prefer quality over quantity. To this end, I am quite paranoid about making sure that there is constant improvement in the quality of my products. Another aspect is the pricing of products since it plays a crucial role in the success of any enterprise. I constantly find myself checking if I am living up to the customer’s expectation and making sure that their money is well worth of.
We are a young company with focus on quality. Frankly, I do not see myself competing with anyone in the market. I see myself as someone trying to provide tools for personal improvement and empowerment.
As to how we are better – well, we provide a holistic view of esoteric sciences. One gets to learn the core science or pure knowledge behind any practise, this helps people live an enlightened life. As the mumbo jumbo drops, the tools become very effective and one starts to think clearly.
I am a workaholic, however I believe in doing things joyfully. If one is passionate about their work then the stress from any activity just drops. Since I enjoy every activity I do, I do not feel the need to log off at a certain time of the day.
If I really need to unwind, I pack my bags and travel. This helps me explore newer places and cultures and bring to Nivaa a different perspective on the things we are already doing.
No, I am currently operating out of savings. We would be opening up for funding in a few months.
A lot of people in today’s world believe in doing things in a big way. Many people think that grandiose expressions of words and action signify a big brain. I never believed in making grand gestures and quite a few people think I am an introvert or the SILENT types.
Noise never mattered to me, I always value the depth of character and understanding behind any facade. People who know me address me as the ‘ONION’, they think I operate out of many layers and judging just by one layer isn’t apt.
My company deals with sciences that can make your life better. Our products are not only aimed at physical wellbeing but also around mental and spiritual upliftment. The pandemic situation has brought about a shift in how people have been approaching their life. This has led people to explore areas which really matter for human life. I am glad that such a shift is happening and I’m excited to be offering the much needed tools of transformation.
People have been the locus point in my life in the recent past. Since I am juggling a job and also the startup at the moment, I am swamped with emails, phone calls and pings all through the day. My mornings start out with a quiet of 10 mins followed by a spiritual practice. This is followed by about 9 hours of solid work online, I also utilize this time to take calls and make notes on the people requesting therapy. The evenings are quieter, I utilize this time for meditations and therapy sessions for my clients. I also make it a point to spend time with the family both in the morning and evenings, we usually cook together or watch some exciting series on Netflix.
I am currently operating with a 2 member team for Nivaa Sciences, we also have a few consultants who chip in now and then. On the organic farm front we are a team of three.
The people who I work with have always been organic, these are people with whom I share a common interest. A common trait that bound us together was the decades of exploration we went through to find quality things. This startup is our way of offering these technologies to other seekers without them having to spend decades searching for it.
