Perspecti Witty: A New aged Digital Marketing Agency

It’s no news that people have been spending more and more time online than ever before. But this statement isn’t completely right. On an individual level, there are more people than ever before consciously monitoring their time spent online. As long as the internet continues making its presence felt to a large cohort of ‘just new’ (say, two or lesser years spent online) users, and as long as existing and new services continue or begin to add value to the lives of these new users, how does one go about finding the right set of people online for one’s product or business as early as possible? Or put another way, how does one continue to find new customers every year, every month, every week and every day?

In short, where are the people? Who are these people? What do they do? What’re their passion points? Data and insights will provide a few answers to these questions. A digital marketing professional’s craft lies in finding the right people online for his client in order to gain new business. Amidst a plethora of businesses trying to find their target audiences, how does one get the business in front of the right people? Its questions like these that keep the serious marketing agencies innovating, where the solutions are customised to each category and industry.

Today, at Bangalore Insider, we spoke to the founder of Prospectiwitty who gave us insights into the world of the new age digital marketing agency.

Give a brief info about your startup?

A dream that began 3.6 years back with the goal of establishing a unique and creative agency in the competitive city of Mumbai. We are today a team of 8 people that understand the vision for the brand and put our creative tissues to work and take the brand to greater heights. We target only small and medium scale businesses who are in real need of branding and a digital makeover. We also specialize in product business i.e. we work on a commission basis as per lead conversion.

What made you start your startup and what problem does it solve?

After a year of struggling to adjust into a family business, I joined a Digital Marketing company which gave me a conviction that I could do this as a startup for the kind of clients that really needed it. We have created Digital Awareness and also helping them see the benefits it would do to their business by reaching a wider audience.

Tell us about yourself, your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before this startup?

After completing the Graphic Designing course, I wasn’t allowed to enter the corporate world as I was expected to enter the family business. I failed at it miserably, couldn’t adjust in a typical business atmosphere where rules are rigid and there’s no space for creativity.  Soon after, I joined a Digital Marketing Company, where I was introduced to a whole new world; where beautiful ideas breathed.

Where is your startup based out of? Why do you think that is the best place for you?

We are based in Mumbai, and I don’t think the digital world is limited to any place in particular. Good work makes all the difference at the end of the day, and that’s what we thrive on.

As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?

The only thing that I constantly find myself wrapping my head around is delivering great Ad Campaigns at a very minimal budget. Good things come at a good price and gaining the trust of the clients initially is the key, and low budgets stand in the way. But we’ve sailed fair this far, and shall soar in the days to come as well.

Who are your competitors and how are you better than them?

Mumbai is a hub of countless digital agencies but each one is unique in its approach. And to be honest, my aim is not to outdo anyone else but our own selves. We respect individuality and what each one brings to the table, and that’s our strength. We aim to give our best and that’s what we believe in achieving each time.

How hard is it to have a work-life balance as a startup founder and how do you manage it?

It has been really very difficult initially but with time I was able to strike a balance. And it also taught me to be grateful for what I have and to do my best with it. I definitely have had my share of sleepless nights and stressful days but I believe that it has all shaped me to be better at what I do.

Have you raised funding? If yes, then we would like to know the details. If no then please tell us if you are looking to raise.

Not as yet. We are basically self-funded. But yes, we are coming up with 1 massive technology-based product, which is very unique and rarely found in India. When it’s the right time to speak about it, we shall definitely think of funding.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about you? Why do they have that? What’s the reality?

That if you have not worked with big brands, your achievement is not valid. I instead feel strongly that working for small and medium-sized brands with hardly any budget is the real challenge. Because to work with resources is easy but to perform well without the resources is a real talent.

What gets you excited about this company?

The freedom of thought that flows across the discussion table and the creative collective effort of everyone that helps us to create something great and meaningful. This excites me as it shows me the power we hold to do big things.

Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.

Well, I get up around 6.30 am, play cricket till 8.30, come back home and get ready and reach the office by 10. Check the worklist, discuss it with the team, and connect with as many people as possible in a day.  Leave the office around 9 and have some good food and time with friends and family, and sleep in peace.

Tell us about your team and how did you meet each other?

Most of them were hired through online portals and few through references. It’s been good to have connected with them and work with them as one unit. It has been great to learn from them and grow with them each day.
