Voyager is a Bangalore based startup founded by Sandy & Vyjay.
We provide travel inspiration and information to our readers and followers and we also help our partners in positioning their travel destinations, services, or related products better through the reach and engagement of our audience, says Sandy and Vyjay.
We at Bangalore Insider had an opportunity to have an interview with Sandy and Vyjay. Here are the excerpts.
Voyager is all about travel. We are primarily focused on content creation in the travel domain. We also collaborate with tourism boards, both national and international for Social Media promotion through our channels. We also collaborate with hospitality and other travel brands for a synergic association.
What started as a hobby has now turned into a serious business venture. We were passionate about traveling and doing a lot of it. So we decided to share our stories with others and started a travel blog. Quickly as we built up our content, brands started approaching us and soon we had a venture going. We provide travel inspiration and information to our readers and followers and we also help our partners in positioning their travel destinations, services, or related products better through the reach and engagement of our audience.
This is a two-man army. Actually a 1-Man and 1-Woman army. We are Sandy & Vyjay, a husband and wife couple. Both of us were into settled and cushy corporate jobs. However one fine day, the urge to break free and follow our passion saw us turn our backs to the Corporate world and embark on an exciting journey.
We are based out of Bangalore. It just happens that this is our home and it suits us. Otherwise, we are not bound by geographical constraints and can function as digital nomads. Our office goes with us wherever we go!
We are not paranoid about anything, but yes we are constantly thinking about how to re-engineer ourselves in a fast-changing environment.
Our biggest competition is ourselves. We want to better ourselves every day and every minute.
As our work is our passion and also our life, the question of the balance does not arise. We like what we do and are immersed in it all the time. We eat, drink, and breathe travel.
No, we have not, and not intending to either.
The misconception people have is about travel influencers and bloggers in general. People usually see only the glamorous side and have no idea about the hard work that goes in.
There are three things that are exciting about what we do, travel, travel, and writing about travel.
The schedule when we are not traveling looks somewhat like this. Start the day early. Work on emails and other correspondence. Work on ongoing projects. Content writing and more writing. Call it a day before dinner time.
As mentioned earlier ours is a two-member team who co-founded Voyager. We share our responsibilities equally and complement each other with our strengths and skills.
