We at Bangalore Insider had the opportunity to catch up with Yogita, the founder of Yungmind and to know more about the startup, read her inspiring story.
Give a brief info about your startup?
Yungmind is designed for young mind, designed by young mind..but its not limited to age. It’s a design store, providing individual and corporate gifting services. We design and manufacture graphic t shirts, original paintings/digital artworks, professional tattoos, designer candles, fridge magnets and tea coasters.
What made you start your startup and what problem does it solve?
As per today’s trend, people are constantly looking for gifting whether personal or corporate. We encourage both ends as getting professional guidance and services is missing in this front.
Tell us about yourself, your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before this startup?
Yogita M. Deshpande -founder of Yungmind Design LLP is the Commercial artist. Before this venture she served various Advertising agencies, and design studios. She loves designing graphic tshirts and out of that she started exploring all these aspects like paintings, digital art, tattoos & so on.
Where is your startup based out of? Why do you think that is the best place for you?
We are based in Mumbai.
As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?
Yogita is paranoid about tattoos, doodling and graphic tshirts.. Painting canvases keeps her awake all the time.
Who are your competitions and how are you better than them?
We just work as per clients requirements and we work our best in each and every job. Once you place your orders with us, its no more your project, its completely our project -this is how we work.
How hard is it to have a work life balance as a startup founder and how do you manage it?
In this competitive world, its very complicated. But when you are starting with something new, all these are natural. And obviously its a learning process, so you learn to manage it.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about you? Why do they have that? What’s the reality?
Biggest misconception is about graphic t shirts we sell. People think its just the piece available in the market. So they expect it in lowest of the cost. But the reality is- its professionally designed and of finest quality.
What gets you excited about this company?
We have freedom to create our own designs. We explore our creativity in all the aspects.
Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.
When its festive season, like Valentine’s Day, Marathons, Diwali, Christmas, New Year we have fully loaded with works.
Otherwise getting up at 6am., followed by workouts and walks, mixed with Zumba. Then by 8.30am Breakfast. At 9.30qm we start with works.
Tell us about your team and how did you meet each other?
We are team of designers and artists. We met at an Exhibition and then communicated through chats and calls. Some of the members are students who cant study design professionally, but very much keen to learn it.
