The world has become a one big open marketplace of ideas with prospective suitors eager to know more about themselves and the world at large. This open-mindedness to new ideas manifests itself in several different ways, chief among them being the individuals who are giving new wings to the travel industry. They’re passionate about travelling and writing, and are helping their readers and followers plan for the best vacations of their lives. Here’s Madhu, one such passionate individual who’s using her writing skills to
help her followers create great memories through travelling.
Tell us about yourself, what do you like most about your field of work?
I am Madhu, originally from – Darbhanga – Bihar, but has in different cities in India for my education and now for the job. I have done my Master’s in Marketing & Human Resource from Delhi and have a corporate experience of more than six years now. I am still working with an I.T firm & I won’t lie I love my job as well. No doubt that maintaining a 9-6 job and this blogging is hectic at the time but trust me it gives me immense power to work more each and every day.
However, since I was a kid I had always been inclined towards literature. I actually wanted to peruse Journalism but couldn’t do because of some reason. Eventually, when this digital platform came in, it gave a lot of people wings to fly. I was one of them, and hence started this journey of Travel & Blogging.
What I love most about my job is the satisfaction of doing what I wanted to do in some or the other way. I know it’s not like journalism, but I am close to literature. I feel so good when people come and ask me about planning their next vacation. The idea is to cater to the best of information as per my capabilities. The immense support from my readers keeps me motivated. There are times when I don’t get time to publish my blogs and I get messages from my readers – Hey! Long-time…. waiting for “LevenStylo” blogs.
I get a chance to meet so many new people, know about new cultures, explore new places & I live every moment if it.
Your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before choosing this field?
I am into Marketing & Communications and I love my job. Taking care of the internal and external communication of an organisation is something that needs a lot of effort and creativity. This is something that I really enjoy doing and this job has helped me in starting my Blogging career as well. I would love to continue my job and my blogging hand in hand.
How did you land up doing what you do now?
To be honest, it was very impromptu. My husband is a techy guy and yes, he has encouraged me so much in starting this journey. He is the man behind LevenStylo. All my photoshoots, when I am travelling, or in the city is taken by him. I think I am most comfortable with him. He knew I loved writing and getting clicked. Knowing my passion, he gave a reason to me. That’s how I started this journey with him.
If not the current profession, what would you have been?
I started this Travel Blog in the year 2017 and trust me in this two year I had so much of learning. But as I mentioned above, I always wanted to be a Journalist, so if not, a Marketer I would have landed up becoming a Journalist for sure.
What motivates you to keep going?
My work, my passion for writing, travelling and yes immense love from my friends, family and readers keeps motivating me. They push me to take out more time for my blog and write more and more.
Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.
My morning starts with a cup of tea and some morning exercise. I get ready for my office then and from
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. I am in my office. The moment I reach office around 7 p.m. I make sure I will have some time for myself. That is the time when I figure out what should be the next thing on my Blog. Post that, I take my dinner and spend some quality time with my family. Talking about our day and our work life. Once we are done with dinner and we are on the bed, I will switch on my Laptop and start creating something for my readers. This is how a regular day in my life is. On Weekends there are a few events that I need to attend and yes, the most important of all, I spend time with my family. I strongly feel no matter how busy you are, one should always take out time for family because they are the one who stays with you in every thick and thin.
Any regrets till now? If yes, will you like to share it with our readers?
Nothing as of now.
If you were given a choice of meeting any person you want, who will be that person?
There are a lot of people in this world, who has done some incredible work and it’s not that easy to decide. But to be given a choice of meeting one person, it would be Mr. Amitabh Bacchan. The reason is, he has seen both success and failure in his life. I would want to understand from him how does he still manage to be such a grounded person. Success must be handled very carefully and that’s what he has done with so much of grace.
What is the biggest misconception that you think people have about you?
Ha Ha! This is really an interesting question & I would love to answer this. People who are on the public platform set a lot of expectations to form life for other people. Same is the case with me, a lot of followers on social media thinks, my life is full of fun and adventure. It is of course, but I really work hard for it. Also, a lot of people think I don’t do household work. It’s not at all like that. I manage my home, my job and my passion altogether. It’s just that at times I prioritise things accordingly.
Any message that you want to send to your readers.
Yes, I need to thank all my readers for all the love and support that have given to Blog. I shall work harder and try my best to bring more creative content for them. Your support is much needed for me to keep going with what I am up to.
